Is it legal?
Yes. SignTick uses the Electronic Communications Act 2000 to dictate how to verify a digital signature. In english, as long as the person signing agrees that they are agreeing to the content of the agreement with "something unique", typing a name or ticking a box then the digital signature is valid and can be used in court just as well as any other signature.
Using a secure 4-digit PIN code. The creator of the agreement types in the email address of the person signing. When that person signs the agreement it sends them an email with a 4 digit PIN code in it. Once they type that code into the agreement, their email address is then verified and the agreement is locked down and declared 'Signed'. Create an account and send yourself a test agreement to see for yourself.
Anything. Because we're not using paper, anything you could usually display on a computer screen can be signed. There's a text area for your regular contracts, you can send quotes to be approved, forms to be signed and also upload attachments, images, artwork or even videos.
Yes. You can upload files of any type. Just use the 'Attachments' element when creating your agreement.
Yes, you can have as many people sign your agreements as you like. One client recently sent a video to 23 people using SignTick for their approval.
When you sign up, you'll create a master account. You can then create further user accounts for your team and they can access it. You share the same number of credits, the same templates and you can see each other's agreements unless they are made private. Create your master account first then invite your colleagues.
Yes. On the signing page, we let you customise the colour of the background, upload your own logo and enter some text in the header. You can choose to leave it all blank if you wish.
You can create templates which allow you to use the same agreement over and over again. Every time you create an agreement you get the chance to save it as a template. SignTick is set up to be easy to use and make things simple.
About 5 minutes. The signup process takes a matter of seconds and the welcome video will guide you through setting your account up. Creating your first agreement will take you 3 or 4 minutes the first time you do it. Going forward creating a new agreement from a template shouldn't take more than 30 seconds. Sign up now.
No. Just sign up, and buy credits when you run out of the free ones we give you. There's nothing to cancel, if you want to stop using your account, just stop using it. If you are a super high sender and switch to 'SignTick Unlimited' then you can cancel any time you like.
We have a comprehensive Support System which has answers, screenshots, step-by-step guides and walkthroughs on all the common elements of SignTick. If you are still stuck after using that then you can contact us using the contact details and we'll be happy to provide any help and support you need.
No. You could lose the paper and that's that agreement gone. Someone could easily forge the signature. It's an illusion that a handwriting expert would be in court. That's really only on TV. The reality is, if there's a signed agreement, a judge is going to take that as gospel. It's far safer to use an online digital signature app, legally have all your agreements signed online and have them stored for you.
No. SignTick is 100% unbranded. There's never a mention of SignTick and in all emails is your company name and email address.
